Allergic Rhinitis
Also known as "hay fever" or "seasonal allergies"
Allergic rhinitis is a condition where your immune system overreacts to harmless substances like pollen, dust mites, or pet dander. When these allergens enter your nose, your body mistakenly thinks they're dangerous and releases chemicals like histamine to fight them off. This causes symptoms like sneezing, a runny or stuffy nose, itchy eyes, and sometimes a scratchy throat. It's your body's way of trying to protect you, even though there's no real threat.
